We just saw this sad news on Facebook while surfing for the next post for our website. According the info we found there was a Golf MK2 caught fire while driving on the Autobahn A94.

At first we didn’t want to believe it, but after seeing the Audi A3 wheels, the big turbo and further asking we learned it was the well known 16Vampir Golf MK2…..

This beast ran the quarter mile in 8 seconds…. note, this was the first 16Vampir MK2 Golf. Not the MK1 ! Probably technical faillure caused the fire.
