After four years of relentless development on the G16E-GTS platform, the team finally achieved their ultimate goal: an incredible 8.8-second pass at 164 mph, powered by a beastly 1004 whp setup. Every late night, prototype test, and tuning session came down to just two full passes—proof of what the mighty 1.6L 3-cylinder engine is truly capable of when pushed to its absolute limits.

Interestingly, the original mission was never drag racing. The car was built for World Time Attack to showcase its circuit capabilities, but the team soon realised that drag racing offered a fairer worldwide performance comparison. So they decided to master both worlds—circuit and drag. This GR Yaris is the original development car, the foundation for all their performance parts and research.
