Twin Turbo Porsche GT3 RS vs Tuned GT2 RS: The Ultimate 911 Showdown

Twin-turbo Porsche 992 GT3 RS racing a tuned Porsche 991 GT2 RS during a high-performance drag race showdown.

The Porsche GT division has produced some of the most iconic performance cars ever built, but this showdown answers a question enthusiasts have been asking for years. What happens when the world’s first twin-turbo Porsche 992 GT3 RS takes on a tuned Porsche 991 GT2 RS?

Built by ES Motor, the heavily modified 992 GT3 RS produces an incredible 872bhp from its newly turbocharged 4.0-litre flat-six engine. Opposing it is Porsche’s legendary 991 GT2 RS, enhanced to 863bhp while retaining the factory-developed twin-turbo formula that made it one of the fastest 911s ever created.

With virtually identical power figures, the battle came down to traction, torque delivery, aerodynamics and launch performance. Quarter-mile drag races, roll races and VBOX performance data revealed just how closely matched these two rear-wheel-drive monsters really are.

While the GT3 RS impressed with its aggressive acceleration and race-car character, the GT2 RS demonstrated why it remains the benchmark for straight-line performance among Porsche GT models. The result was one of the closest and most exciting Porsche matchups ever featured on the channel. For more content like this one follow us also on Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram!
