Aaron Roberts was at the VWDRC private drag day at Santa Pod Raceway, in his 2002 Mk4 VW Golf TDI. Although it looks like your every day Mk4, except for the drag tyres and screamer pipe, it is far from it.

The 1.9TDI has been tuned to run 449bhp on pure diesel fuel and 590bhp with the nitrous switched on. Once the normal exhaust is put on and the wheels swapped over it is a 1150kg street legal car, and Aaron recently drove it all the way from the UK to Portugal to be tuned and dyno’d. Now that is dedication !!!

With a PB 0f 10.85 it is the quickest MK4 Golf TDI in Europe..Aaron wants to get it down to a 10.50……so stay tuned.
