BOOST DOCTOR – 1300HP Box Chevy

Twin turbo big wheel Chevy launching hard during an 8-second drag strip pass

This custom Big Wheel Chevy box build turned heads at Street Car Takeover thanks to its huge wheels, aggressive stance and surprising drag strip performance. Powered by a twin-turbo 427 LS engine paired with a Powerglide transmission and nine-inch rear end, the Chevy reportedly produces around 1,400 horsepower on full power. Even on a softer tune-up, the car managed an impressive 8.95-second quarter mile pass while weighing over 4,100 pounds.

Built by the owner himself at Mayhem Motorsports, the car features 24-inch rear wheels, custom suspension upgrades and sticky drag-oriented tires designed to handle massive power. Throughout the event, the Chevy consistently shocked racers and spectators alike, carrying the front wheel on launch and outrunning several fast competitors, including a 9-second Dodge Challenger. The combination of huge wheels, turbo LS power and street car style made this one of the standout builds of the weekend.Watch the video to see him in action, leave a comment below and follow us also on Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram!
