Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Group A Race Car: Twin-Turbo RB26 Engine Sound, Accelerations & Fly Bys!

Calsonic Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Group A race car recreation by Ric Wood Motorsport at Goodwood

The Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Group A remains one of the most iconic touring cars ever built. This Calsonic-liveried recreation from UK-based Ric Wood Motorsport brings the legendary RB26DETT twin-turbo straight-six to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, with Andy Middlehurst behind the wheel for the timed shootout. Its unmistakable engine note, rapid acceleration and aggressive fly-bys celebrate an era when Nissan’s all-wheel-drive powerhouse earned its famous “Godzilla” nickname.

Developed with competition in mind, the R32 GT-R combined a 2.6-liter twin-turbo engine with Nissan’s ATTESA E-TS all-wheel-drive system. In Group A racing trim, the RB26DETT produced around 600 hp, helping the Skyline dominate touring car competition in Japan and achieve major victories at Spa and Bathurst. This footage captures the sound and presence of a machine that helped define an unforgettable chapter in motorsport history.
