RTMG Performance were over from Greece, to the UK with their partners DKU Performance, in their record breaking Seat Ibiza for the Ultimate Street Car event at Santa Pod Raceway.

The car is fitted with a fully built 2.0L TSI engine, pushing out over 1000HP to the front wheels, via its DQ250 DSG box. Recently in Greece Maria Taxopoulous ran a World’s quickest time for a Seat Ibiza, and for the 2.0L TSI EA888 platform, with a run of 8.85 @ 153mph. They were here to try and beat that.

Maria got close with a run of 9.25, and her husband and owner of RTMG Performance, Petros, managed to eclipse the time, with a run of 8.77 @ 160mph, before damaging the gearbox on his next attempt, and putting a halt to the day.
