One of my favorite engines besides the 2JZ for example is the Volkswagen VR6 engine delivered first in the Volkswagen Corrado and later in the Volkswagen Golf MK3. These engine have so much potential, that even with stock internals they can handle 400+HP easily and the sound of them is priceless! Here is a guy doing some test pulls in his 3.0L VR6 Turbo! He even does a pull till 300km/h!
