A truly unique build hits the Nürburgring as a Peugeot 306 GTI receives an unexpected heart transplant: a 2.0 TFSI turbo engine. Weighing just 950 kg and producing around 270 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, this one-of-one swap transforms the lightweight French hot hatch into an exciting track weapon. Built with reliability and parts availability in mind, the owner chose the well-known TFSI platform to create a car designed specifically for frequent Nürburgring laps.

During the first on-track test, the potential of the project becomes clear, but so do the challenges. Limited tire grip, missing power steering, and cooling issues show that this is still an early-stage development build. Even so, the combination of lightweight chassis and turbocharged performance promises a seriously fast future once setup, braking performance, and handling are fully dialed in.
