1993 Mercedes-Benz W124 SG65 V12 BiTurbo (TOP SPEED DRIVE)

The German specialists at Stern Garage have created what may be the ultimate Mercedes W124: the SG65, a brutally powerful restomod built around a heavily modified 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 pushing an astonishing 700 PS and 1000 Nm. Based on the legendary 500E, the SG65 brings supercar-level performance to a timeless sedan chassis. To handle the massive power and added weight of the V12, Stern Garage upgraded the suspension with motorsport components, installed 400 mm carbon-ceramic brakes, and reduced weight using carbon bumpers, fenders, and side skirts. Inside, the cabin has been completely reimagined with fine materials and individual rear seats, while the classic W124 speedometer now stretches all the way to 400 km/h.

This build continues Stern Garage’s tradition of creating outrageous yet refined Mercedes restomods, following projects like the SG60 and the supercharged 190E M111. With only 148 E60 AMG units ever produced and values now reaching €300,000, the SG65 stands as a modern tribute to Mercedes’ greatest performance sedans—only with far more power and exclusivity. A true wolf in sheep’s clothing, the SG65 represents the pinnacle of V12 engineering and W124 craftsmanship. And for those hungry for even more, Stern Garage is already preparing its next masterpiece: a W140 S-Class fitted with the same ferocious bi-turbo V12!
