The Turbotechnik Konne team were at Santa Pod Raceway for the VWDRC Drag Days event in their MK2 VW Golf, It is powered by a 24v VR6 Turbo’d engine, pushing out over 1250HP to all four wheels. It is already the quickest Mk2 VW Golf in the World, with a best time of 8.228.

And yes, I have heard of the Boba Motorsport Mk2, but although very close, Boba’s car has a best run of 8.26 (as of 09/08/20). They put in a fantastic run straight off the trailer, with a time of 8.49 @ 171mph, and then improved on this with an 8.25 @ 177mph. However their next run saw them blow the clutch up on the start line, and that was it for the event.
