Audi TT-Swapped AWD Renault Twingo: 300HP Nürburgring Monster

Audi TT quattro swapped Renault Twingo track car at the Nürburgring

This Audi TT Swapped Renault Twingo has been transformed into an unusual Nürburgring track car using the running gear and quattro all-wheel-drive system from an Audi TT 1.8. The tiny French hatchback features an estimated 250-300hp setup, a manual transmission, large wheels and Porsche brakes, creating an extremely unusual combination for the Nordschleife. The car had only been completed days before the lap, meaning testing time was extremely limited before its Nürburgring outing.

Behind the wheel, the Audi TT-swapped Twingo showed strong braking performance and surprisingly good controllability, even without ABS. However, the generic engine map and oversized intercooler appeared to limit boost response and torque, leaving the car short of the expected performance. The driver also criticized the RS-style tires for their slow warm-up and limited grip. Despite the unfinished setup, the combination of a lightweight Twingo body and Audi quattro running gear makes this one of the most unusual AWD Nürburgring builds around.
