Porsche 911 GT3 RS v Mercedes AMG GT R: DRAG RACE

It’s time for a supercar showdown!
We’ve got Mat in the 992 GT3 RS, and he’s going up against racing driver Sam in the Mercedes-AMG GT R! But which will come out on top over the quarter-mile? Let’s take a closer look at the stats.

Starting with the Porsche, it’s powered by a 4-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six that can produce 525hp and 465Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and the car tips the scales at 1,450kg. It has a price tag of £192,600.

As for the AMG, it’s powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 which creates 585hp and 700Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels only via a 7-speed auto gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,555kg. When this was new, it cost £156,000.
